If this crop looks a little weird, it's because I used a different type of paper with a shorter ratio when I drew this.

I was really into SiIvaGunner in the first year their current channel came up, and at the time, they were doing this arc called the Christmas Comeback Crisis, and their uploads really engaged me. I would completely watch every last one they posted and return for more, even when that Mega Man III select screen (www.youtube.com/watch?v=orF1Bh… ) was uploaded. I associate those memories with my first vacation to Lake Tahoe, which can be a really snowy area in the winter. Those were very special times.

This was made in an hour or so. I used three colored pencils and one graphite pencil, deliberately replicating Smoky's original art as much as possible. (twitter.com/SmokyThrill77/stat… ) Wood Man is still my favorite SiIvaGunner character from them to this day. I wasn't entirely sure what Wood Man was holding, but maybe it's obviously a leaf >:]

2016 was an alright year for me. I got into Nintendo and later received a Wii U on my birthday. My 7th-grade classes were great. 8th grade was amazing, with memes breaking into an unprecedented mainstream. I was getting further into art and started making up characters. I shared a lot of YouTube shitposts with my friends via a Gmail "service". The 2016 election was godawful; Trump won, and the Democrats chose Clinton over Sanders. It was the first year that I started getting into memes. I was gradually lurking around Know Your Meme...and developing a hentai addiction.
