i love how the brush strokes goes from sharp to unbelievably soft without warning. the paint-y feeling adds to the demon's mystery, and his eyes seem so utterly emotionless.
this is the most beautiful pokerface i've seen. i'm in love.

I love the smokey effect around the hands, it reminds me of wet ink being swirled around! I hope some day I'll be able to create something as cool as this @_@

I used the brush tool in sai (set to: 19 color blending, 0 opacity, 30 persistence) As for the bits of rusty color it's all a texture~

If you wanted to be picky and keep going at this, then the violin should be held up higher. Or he's not playing, but rather holding it down at a rest position?
