Description
This isn't even what I wanted to do, I just wanted to read more of the official blender-manual (I'll link to it later in another post if i found it to actually be helpful), and then did the usual thing you do when you do something that feels like work and is boring, i.e. not do it.
Instead, I did a bit more modelling and now I got this hammer (with the help of a simple reference-pic of course). Luckily for me I plan to animate and not model stuff, because this one sure wasn't fun to make. Basically, like with my house , i feel like that if you don't always think 5 steps ahead when modelling, something is not gonna work as you want it to later on. I did (or had to do) some nasty edge- and vertex-deleting later on and I think that that's not the way you're supposed to do it.
The materials didn't quite work out as I wanted to as well. Apparentely the "preview" it shows you is either not always correct or I'm to dumb to use it correctly, because when I had some nice shiny-looking material for the hammerhead it only showed it as black in the rendered image. Now it even looks a little bit like it's under a x-ray.
But well, I only just started out recently, so whatever.
