Description SORRY COMMISSIONERS D:

I really, really felt like designing a character, so I went and sketched a few things and got a little carried away. I dubbed her Gulietta, I thought it suited her.

This character is for sale on FurAffinity: [link] in case anyone is interested .

Let me know if anyone thinks this is supposed to be mature content (I'd disagree, but I don't want to offend anyone).

Artwork by Ilse "Lhune" Gort, 2012.

So very fluffeh  I'd glomp the stuffing out of that bird XD It's just so cute!   And no, this doesn't warrant an M rating at least not to me it doesn't.

Bluebird right? My mom loves seeing them in our yard every year and when they have a couple clutches of eggs before summer's over

Yeah it's roughly bluebird based . They've lovely birds but they don't live here sadly.

that's a little sad you don't get bluebirds. Yes they're nice to see around a person's yard

Nice! Not everyday you see bird anthros, so this was something fresh.

I don't think you should have to put a mature content sticker on it I mean.. it's not really nudity if you can't see anything, and it doesn't look like it was intended as nudity either.

Sorry for the late reply!

I actually really like the design, but I have a big problem with creatures that look likes something that hatched from an egg, that has a belly button.

Has kind of an Egyptian feel to it

CaraidArt In reply to DarthChinchi [2012-01-08 23:16:22 +0000 UTC]

I just looked it up, apparently birds do have belly buttons at birth but it grows so tightly together later on that there is practically nothing to be seen on adults. Ah, well. We'll just pretend the character is slightly more human and the belly button didn't heal up properly xD!

DarthChinchi In reply to CaraidArt [2012-01-09 00:58:52 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... I'm not sure if the right term is a belly button though.

Yeah, that's a good way to go
It's not just you though. It baffles every time I see some sort of dragon or anthro dragon with a belly button, or other animals where you think to yourself "that's not supposed to have a belly button" xD

Not sure why most draw them like that...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CaraidArt In reply to DarthChinchi [2012-01-09 01:31:14 +0000 UTC]

Of course belly button is the right term, it's nothing more or less than a scar, a leftover from our early development, which simply disappears on birds, apparently. But they do have them at birth :>.

Meh, belly buttons aren't such a big deal in my opinion. Boobs on birds and reptiles is more of a problem .

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthChinchi In reply to CaraidArt [2012-01-09 09:23:15 +0000 UTC]

imo boobs and belly buttons are the same thing problem wise

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

CaraidArt In reply to DarthChinchi [2012-01-08 23:13:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I wasn't sure if birds have belly buttons at all. They ARE connected to the yolk at the stomach after all, but I don't know if that would leave any kind of trace in the later development of the chick. Having said that, if I'd left it out, I would probably have felt like the stomach was missing something :/.

Thank you!

a lovely combination between bird and human! Anthros, especially birds, are hard to get to look convincing without being totally mainstream. But you have succeeded!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CaraidArt In reply to WerewTerrefGrin [2012-01-08 10:08:15 +0000 UTC]

There is a mainstream in anthro birds? Heh, thank you!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WerewTerrefGrin In reply to CaraidArt [2012-01-08 16:07:27 +0000 UTC]

Not really in birds, no, but most anthros are human body and limbs, animal feet, animal head, animal tail. Fur all over. No deviations. THAT'S mainstream. This is just awesome.

CaraidArt In reply to WerewTerrefGrin [2012-01-08 19:03:34 +0000 UTC]

Ah yeah the "furries" ^^. I prefer anthros that are more animal than human. Thanks again!

ArrinKirr In reply to CaraidArt [2012-01-09 16:54:31 +0000 UTC]

Just a question - would she be able to fly, being anthropomorphic?
