What types of tanks were used in the Spanish Civil war? . . . All types of I suspect.

Not that much, it was in 1936-39 so only pre-WW2 tanks participated, with a few WW1 ones. These were:
In the early war, about 6 Schneider CA1 WW1 French medium tanks, 4 on the Republican side and the remaining 2 supposedly on the Nationalist side. Also 4 Trubia A4 tanks (Spanish light tank based on the Renault FT armed with 3 light machineguns), on which there is little info.
A bit later in the war, the Nationalists got tanks and tank crew trainers from the Italians (L3/35 or CV35 tankettes, very small and armed with machineguns) and the Germans (PzKfw I, light tank also only armed with machineguns).
The Republicans bought tanks from Russia: A lot of T-26 light infantry tanks and one shipment of 50 new BT-5 cavalry tanks, which were armed with the then excellent Soviet 45mm cannon. The Nationalist tanks stood no chance against those cannon-armed Russian tanks, but the Republicans were inexperienced with tanks and lost most of them to enemy anti-tank cannon fire and mechanical breakdowns. The Nationalists captured a lot of T-26s, which they liked more than their German and Italian tanks for obvious reasons. Late in the war they relied mostly on captured tanks.

Thanks. I thought that the French Ranault FT thanks would have been used more by in all factions, the freanch made and sold so meany of them. I guess they where quite obsolete then. So only female FTs with Hotchkiss LMGS where used against infantry by the nationalists, interesting. When I play World of Tanks I like to imagine scenarios like those of Sanish/ Russian Civil Wars.

Yes, the Spanish had some 20 Renault FTs at the start of the war but AFAIK they were in very poor mechanical condition.
The Trubia A4 was a bit different from the Renault FT though, it had a hull MG and a two-layered turret with one MG in each "layer".
The Spanish had used their Schneiders and Renaults in Morrocco too, in the 1920s.

Wow the A4 looks like a really beefed up little tank. It sill did not have a canon. The FT was a real pioneer. First Amarican and Sovet tanks where FTs the Russian gifted some FT tanks to some afghan Beys in the 1920's and they where used against the sovets in the 1980s. Talk about poor mechanical, they where pull behind trucks and used a road blocks and pill boxes. You did see my drawing of the little FT with a Hotchkiss LMG?
