I know I should be doing something I promised somebody last month...BUT THIS IS THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER DRAWN. Right now, at least. Smiley McSticklegs in the middle there is to blame for that. I even made it my cover photo on Facebook, that's how much I love it. -w-;;
(These guys are all characters from my fanfic, in case you were wondering. This particular meeting is non-canonical, but I couldn't resist BABIES so yeah.)

I always figured that fire types could control the things they burn, like the Ponyta and Rapidash in the early animΓ©. Even if it doesn't make sense, I've stuck with that explanation for a good fifteen years.
