Details-

Jigglypuff first appeared in Pokemon Red/Blue, along with it's evolution Wigglytuff. It's pre-evolution Igglybuff was first introduced in Pokemon Gold/Silver. Many know and love Jigglypuff from the Pokemon Anime that debuted in 1997 and has been running strong since. The role Jigglypuff played in the series was an adorable little puffball who loved to sing, however it's audience would always fall asleep. (Due to it using the move Sing which puts the foe to sleep) As a result the Jigglypuff got very upset because it thought that it was very rude that they'd fall asleep during it's song. So what did that lead to? It led to the Jigglypuff pulling out a marker and drawing all over everyone's faces. Her first appearance in the Smash Bros. series was the very first one (64) and has appeared in every single one since then. Her strongest move is Rest, which is a hard to hit move, but if landed it can KO at low percentages. Her recent appearance in the Pokemon series has been Pokemon X/Y and she will return in November for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
