So the people have spoken and I'm now an avian yipee

BUT NOT WITHOUT SOME STORY YEEE HAW

The way it goes is this : Enlisted into some sort of genetically engineered super soldier program (and lets face it I would totally do that irl that's wicked cool) and came out in a successful batch of human-avian hybrids (hoorah). If you want some more science lore, the wings were actually grown in a separate chamber before grafted onto the subjects. Natural growth of the wings had only been (illegally) attempted on younger subjects. After the procedure, all successful participants were to be trained as soldiers and yadda yadda
The big fellow here is LANNING, or just Lan. He runs most security facilities on the base and was tasked with personally training the new avian recruits. He's got a smaller body of course, but his larger form was considered better for training people with wings (for example : catching anyone falling out of the sky, or snatching up ditchers scared of military service). He's actually a preserved human consciousness uploaded into an AI system, so he too is a human experiment.

PHEW aight here's some details about my new design :>
- gull's wings, built for long, low effort flight and aquatic action 💥
- down feathers on face n arms and scales on shins
- no, I am not OLD, the white stripes in my hair are a result of avian genes affecting the pigmentation of fibers (as time goes on in the story, more after effects from the procedure will begin to pop up, like sharper nails, teeth, and faster growing hair)
