Gasping and coughing for air, Marlow was brought to the shore of the lake. Shelly's net was weaved tight around him, and she had to delicately pry it from his gills. Sputtering, Marlow coughed up trapped fluid from his lungs. He took in a heavy breath. Finally, he could breathe again.

"Oh thank Chii," Shelly sighed as she watched his breathing return to normal. She reached over to pat him on the back, "I'm so sorry kid, I never meant to catch you in my net."

Marlow looked up, his eyes watery. As a finn, he had never experienced suffocation before and was traumatized. Uncontrollably, he started shaking. Before he knew it he was balling, snot dripping from his nose. Shelly sat down next to him, wanting to comfort him but unsure how to do it. As his sobbing turning into exasperated hiccups, Shelly smiled. "You know," She began, "My house isn't too far from here. I could fix you something to eat. Some warm soup and blankets really do wonders."

Marlow nodded, still sniffling, "Okay."
