Description Originally the Steam Trawler (ST) Sheraton, the ship was commissioned as an armed patrol ship during WWII, then afterwards painted bright yellow and used as an RAF target out in The Wash. In 1947 it broke free from its moorings and drifted onto the beach at Hunstanton. Most of the ship was salvaged for scrap metal leaving just the hull which has sat on the beach below the cliffs at the mercy of the tides ever since.
