Description
In European mythology Vouivre is the queen of snakes. On her forehead she bears lambent gemstone - the bright-red ruby. She can be seen flying in the skies at summer nights. When she bathes she leaves the stone on the shore and the one who is cunning enough to steal the gem will become fabulously wealthy as he will get the part of hidden treasures that are protected by the snake.Work in progress

Absolutely love this. Reminds me of a scene out of an Amelia Atwater-Rhodes book, though the wings are different from Rhodes characters. Very beautiful.

Yeah I got that but... which part? o.O' I've never heard of that.

You can find the Vouivre in the French, English and Italien mythology.
But here, on this beautiful drawing, she's most from the French and English part (description of the Vouivre changes depending to the country), but more the french part :
English part :
- The tail with peaks (peaks ? points ?) [V]
- Two wings [V]
- But not two legs [ ]
French part :
- Body of snake [V]
- Wings of bat [V]
- But not legs of pig [ ]
- Quite similar to the vision of Marcel Aymé or Cedric Vincent : The Vouivre as a naked woman living in swamps. [V]
The Vouivre is supposed to have only wings and no arms, and the french guards a biig treasure.
