Hey hun! I knew you'd show up to comment. What cosmic timing. I had all those Andy Mack posters. After I made this, I discovered you can still order them from his website. They look a little kitschy now, but they were amazing to my younger self. I uploaded the large version of this, so you can order yourself a print if you like. Happy new year btw and have fun writing!

I saw this on LJ first. Ha, I like this. And wow it does remind me of the art I would see on folders in the 80's.

It totally belongs on folders. Lisa Frank never really came to Canada, so whatever I have that is Lisa Frank is very very precious.

Lisa Frank was great in the 80's when she only drew animals. I loved her color combinations. But when she started drawing girls it went down hill. Now even the animals look terrible with over sized eyes and head. Awful.

Yeah, I don't know what the idea was there...maybe it was that early 2000s big eye fashion. Apparently the company is down to six employees. There have been a couple of recent stories about it - her messy personal life (her husband was cheating on her and they divorced) dragged the company down. Also, apparently it wasn't a fun place to work either, even when times were good.

Wow really? I didn't know that. What a shame. I'm glad I have some of the original folders even if they are all beat up now. The seal one is my all time favorite.

And now there is a certain Ridley Scott film I need to rewatch.

Wait, Are we talking about Blade Runner or Legend?

I'm talking about Legend (or The Legend of Darkness if you go by the British title), though the very same unicorns play an interesting role in the director's cut for Blade Runner, too.

Huh, I never knew there was a directors cut of Legend. It might explain some of the character relations that made no sense.
