Description
Wanda Maximoff was a mutant, daughter of gypsies from Latveria, in the Universe B2.63 (Multiverse B2, Megaverse B, Ultraverse Kaph). Her mutant power was the manipulation of chaos magic, and she grew to become one of the most powerful mutants on Earth B2.61.

Every magic user has a “harmatia”, a type of spell that is his biggest weakness, and that he cannot use himself, fire magic, water magic, electricity, psychic magic, etc. Scarlet Witch can change her harmatia once a day, so no one ever knows how to defeat her.

She became a ruthless villain, an ally of Magneto, and caused many problems for the X-Men, such as attract the Phoenix Force to Earth, putting Xavier in a coma, and helping the evil Emma Frost gain their trust.

But, everything changed when she had two children with Simon Williams. It made her realize that there were more important things in life than just thinking about herself.

She remained a powerful enemy of the X-Men, but when a trap spell, prepared to destroy Colossus' armor, ended up hitting her children, and killing them, Wanda went insane.

In her insanity, Magik, sister to Colossus, managed to stop her, taking her to Limbo, a mystical dimension of fire and horned monsters, where Magik was basically a goddess. Their battle was long and bloody, but Wanda managed to escape from there, nearly dying in the process, extracting the mystical energy of her own soul, and shortening her life span.

Wanda reunited with Simon Williams after that, and he convinced her not to try to destroy the multiverse to bring her children back. Wanda realized it wouldn't be the same, and it wouldn't be fair to them. They died because of the villainous life she had chosen for herself. All she could do was regret the past, and start over on the hard path of heroes. Few trusted her, with the exception of Magik, who respects her greatly.
