There's just something about scars that just really floats my boat
And that reminds me off a line from a short film about self harm... "Jagged lines that criss and cross over every patch of skin, like some horribly wrong tattoo"

Yes. Yes it is. I really liked that short film, because it showed both sides of cutting, not just "it is wrong!"

I totally understand.
That's what I found so interesting about it. Most things connected to talking about self-harm is either just negative or it's just the whole "emo" bullshit :I

Yes. I especially liked that it had the bit about the scars representing strength--since the ones with scars are the ones who survived.
