Look, up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane! It's... Snow White?

Yes, this is the first in a series of art I have done turning the Disney Princesses and other female heroines into SuperHeroines in the style of Ame Comi (basically anime versions of DC superheroines and gender-bendered heroes and even some villainesses/villains!). I took each Disney Princess and meticulously studied their classical Disney look and compared it to the Ame Comi twists to the DC Universe characters and worked hard at creating individualized outfits for each Disney Princess or female character that still resembled their original looks. It is a time-consuming task but so far I have had a lot of fun with it!

Snow White, being the first Disney Princess, has a classical look akin to that of Supergirl and the like (complete with a cape and everything), but with the same color scheme of her original dress. In place of her gown's skirt is a stylized version of a skirt with blue trimming to give it a more rounded-out appearance. And, of course, to be ironic her symbol is that of a shiny red apple.

I originally hadn't thought about it, but when I showed the concepts to friends of mine they all asked what their superpowers were. If I had to say, I would say that Snow White had flight and super strength, just like the DC Universe counterpart I derived her outfit from.
