If I lie here forever,
can I become one of the flowers,
with their green
and white
and red,
full of fragrance and life?
softer than the morning sun,
fragile as a butterfly's wing
growing tangled, without a care.
will my hair flow run down into the soil
like wild roots,
drinking in the deep waters
as my eyelids flutter in the gentle breeze?
