Description She was there, in a dark room that looked so like her own. He was there too, watching her cautiously, fear and caution in his eyes. Her face was blank, something it never was, and I her hand was a gun. She almost lovingly stroked the gun's mussel as she spoke.
“I bet you don't know this, but I hate guns,” she said conversationally. “They are so loud and mess. They make killing far too easy. Not much control, either. I do so hate them. And I hate pain, too. Not a big fan of it. Not at all.”
He watched her closely. He didn't get too close. Never had He seen her like this. She was always the one smiling happily. Now the dead look in her eyes gave her smile an evil feel.
“Do you want to know something else? I am always rushing toward the future. I want so desperately to leave the past behind me.” She spread her hands wide before her. “But it just keeps coming back! I guess I just can't bury it deep enough. Will I ever bury it deep enough?”
“Yes, you can,” He said, trying to calm her. “We can. Together-”
“Don't say it!” She screamed. “Don't! We can't! I can't! You're leaving me! You're going to forget me!”
“I won't,” He argued. “I will always-”
“NO!” Her screams grew louder. The piercing sounds hurt his ears. “DON'T SAY IT! IT'S A LIE!”
He held silent as He watched her calm down. Her face was blank and reminded him of a broken doll.
“But I'll make you remember,” She said with an empty smile. It made his skin crawl. “What is in everyone's futures? Why, death, of course. Everyone remembers it. It looms over us all. What is better for a girl who wants the past gone then the end of her future? And the best way to do that is with something she hates.”
“No!” He was really panicked now. “Don't! I still-”
“NO!! DON'T SAY IT!” She screamed again. “I DON'T WANT YOU TO LOVE ME AND STAY WITH ME BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO! NO! THIS IS MY WAY TO FINALLY KILL MY PAST!”
She calmed and smiled that broken doll smile. “What better way to kill the past then to kill yourself?”
He ran to her,but she was too quick. She placed the gun in her mouth.........

She jerked awake, tears running down her face, coated in sweat. Her cry of terror brought him running. He drew her in his arms and rocked her as she cried. She clung to him as She tried to banish the images from her mind.
“What was it, honey?” He asked.
“A nightmare,” She sobbed.
“What was it about? Please, tell me,” He urged.
She looked up in his eyes. “My worst fear. That the past will repeat itself and the ones I love will leave and forget me.”
“Shh, babe,” He said softly as He held her. “No one forgets you. They leave, yes, but they don't forget. Never forget. Some times people have to move on.”
“I know that. I understand that. I don't hold it against them.” She trembled. “But my heart doesn't. That's why I fear it most.”
