Anytime.
The original Ghost In the Shell was fantastic (so was Innocence, the second film), and the live-action remake was interesting yet well made & quite visual as always. Don't know why some hated the live-action remake...

I love both the old and new versions! Scarlett did a great job on the Major.

Gotcha, and yes she did.
(Have you watched her in Under the Skin? She was quite interesting as The Alien.)

The new movie really was pretty good, it's too bad that some SJW idiots had to ruin it for everybody.

Was that stuff really that obvious in the movie ? :0 I never really noticed anything. Maybe because I don't have much experience with SJWs in real life, there are not many of them here :'D

The SJW stuff wasn't in the movie, it was about the movie. A ton of people were mad that the Director and Star of a classic japanese story were both European Americans... and I agree that the movie certainly would have had a truer 'GitS' flavor if the Director and Star had been Japanese, it's their culture after all. The thing is, without Scarlett Johansson the movie would not have been made, no 'Western' production company would have paid for a niche japanese anime live-action adaptation with an unknown Japanese female lead... Hollywood only pays for 'sure things'. The movie had to have a super-star lead in order to get the money required to make it happen. Still, they totally could have had a Japanese director... and it probably would have helped with the show's 'flavor'... it was very hollywood, not so much neo-Tokyo.

Oh I see I know some didn't like Scarlett Johansson as Mokoto, and said it was white washing. I agree with your points But I didn't see much problem with Scarlett being not japanese. I mean they did rewite the story, and since Scarlett was a human with syntetic body her race doesn't matter anymore. If this future could happen and people shed their human bodies only having their brains and ghost, race just wouldn't really matter anymore. I mean with robotic bodies you could be anything you want asian, caucasian, black ect. it woudn't matter. I think who built you would matter, what great brand like Samsung or Apple or idk. In this version she is a cyborg who happens to look like a caucasian, but in the end it turns out she really was japanese before she was abducted. Her memories and body was fake, and they made her look like different because maybe they didn't want her to recognize herself at all. I agree with you though, they rewrote the story because for the money and fame. I they stayed with the original it wouldn't be as popular. But because I hadn't seen the original that time, I had the advantage to see this movie as it is, and the original couldn't overshadow my judgement. That's why for me the rewritten movie worked pretty well. Of course I know it's faults after seeing the original and realizing the motives behind the new storyline. But if they stayed with the original story and still cast Scarlett as Motoko I wouldn't have much problem with that too, because Motoko is full body cyborg. As long as her brain is okay her body doesn't matter. If it's destroyed she would have another and look like completly different. So the Star of the movie could have been almost anybody, but I do think a japanese director would have been a better choice. But I seen a few japanese anime adaptation where the character is clearly not japanese but their actor is. For example in the Black Butler movie the british earl and his british butler from the 19th century were played by japanese actors. Now that is totally not believable. I mean okay the butler was a demon he can shapeshift but if he tries to blend in and make others believe he is british with british name and all then look like one. Of course this movie was a rewrite, and a shitty one too. But there are many movies like this with this problem. Look at the new Death Note that movie is just plain stupid.
