Description Posting this for those who have wondered about my nickname..
This photo was taken by a my best friend when we were in art college together at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design way back in 1977.
The building I was climbing down was the Gold Medal Flour Building on the banks of the Mississippi.
As I recall I was about eight or ten floors up and on my way down while my friend photographed me from a building across the way.

Man, You gots some balls!

I did small building climbing last year (3 stories tops).

I climbed are 2, 3 floor elementary schools.
A Intermediate school.
Then the highschool. I fell 15 feet off the highschool when I was climbing... (luckily I wasn't at the top!)

I had a few falls early on.. fell 30 feet out of the top of an elm tree trying to retrieve a kite when I was seven.. hospital for at least a couple of weeks..
bruised vertabrae..
at age twelve I fell seventy -five feet ..into an open pit iron mine in Virginia Minnesota..impacting three ledges before coming to a stop on the third ledge which held me fast or I would have had another 200 feet to go. hospital about two weeks broken fingers and fractured ribs and cracked skull.
fell three floors off of an apartment building when I was about 28..slammed into the grass and got the wind knocked out of me..
several other falls and close calls till I finally had to quit at about age 45..too many injuries.
Now 58..and If I could I'd still be climbing.
Be careful up there

everyone has fears about one thing or another .. some folks like me are deathly afraid of needles .. but heights have never scared me in any way.

That's true, but a picture of someone getting a shot isn't nearly as scary!

in my younger days that is what I did every day for excercise I climbed grain elevators bridges lots of buildings with ornamental brick freeway sound barriers construction cranes electrical towers every sort of tree I could. I just plain love to climb.. and while I can not any more I had over thirty years of doing it every day almost without a break..my friends and family all feared an early demise. and or psychological incarceration(straight jacket meds la de dea)
