Some of the shading on the skin looks almost like hair or scratches to me because the lines are so distinct. But on the other hand this painting makes a really beautiful impression. He's quite literally glowing with beauty. Very nicely done!

Yeah. I was unsure about that as well... This was an experiment in my technique. I ended up revising it, and I got this comment right as I was about to post the edited version. I hope that's better.
