Description Characters from the Star Wars KOTOR II game.
I mean for this to become a scene at first. It just kind of worked out that way. I've been trying to draw characters from the game that I haven't done yet and I realized that I hadn't drawn Mical the Disciple yet. When I think of Mical, I can't help but think of the little rivalry between him and Atton. Both of them have their affections for the Exile (she's a girl. its cannon, folks. deal with it) and Atton can't help but be pissed off Mical for being so charming and innocent. Mical is really kind at heart, but is also very clueless sometimes and doesn't even understand why Atton hates him so much.

Then there's Bao-Dur off to the side just watching the scene unfold. Bao is a very quiet guy and prefers the company of machines to people. I was originally going to cut Bao-Dur off from the rest and put him in his own picture, but I like this way a lot better. It just makes it funnier somehow...

LoL. This is great. Right the feeling I got from the game when your character is a female.

Yeah.
Mical grinds on Atton's last nerve and Mical just has no clue!

Every time I feel down I just need to look at Mical's smile on your drawings and it makes me laugh! Great style really!

The romance plots in KotOR II were kinda disapointing but at the same time it's realistic. I've seen many guys who are afraid (or too proud) to go tell a girl what they feel for her and everybody ends up knowing about it, except the girl..
Atton is not like Carth, he's not going to admit he loves the Exile, not even to himself. Foolish pride.

But I wish sometimes you could answer his little pick up lines differently, instead of pushing him off constantly.
"Oh it's nothing too complicated. It'll just take a while.. Unless you wanna be crammed in an access hatch with me for a day or two.." (Atton talking about the repairs of the Ebon Hawk on Dxun). I really wish you could answer "ZOMG YES YES YES!!" lol

I'm still hoping someone will make a romance enhancement mod for KotOR II, such a great game, lots of potential, would be too bad if it went to trash..

First of all, thanks for the extended comment!

But I can see where you're coming from. In the first game, you had these love interests that you could pursue. But in the second game, though the interest is there, you never really get the chance to return the interests that the other characters have. On the one hand, it really is too bad, but on the other hand I almost feel like it's better that way. I'm the type of guy that really appreciates well developed characters and plots and if you ask me, having the main character that falls in love with a member of their own crew through the course of an adventure feels a little too much like the first game. I don't want a game that follows the same formula as the last one. That's too predictable for me. The second KOTOR game did a wonderful job, I felt, of building up the story in a unique way that set itself apart from it's predecessor.
So while, yes, it's a little sad that you didn't get to have a happy couple at the conclusion of the game, not all stories can end with a 'happily ever after' and they don't all need to.

Just one man's opinion.

You're most welcome!

I absolutely agree with you. I prefer the story of KotOR II, it's more breathtaking I think. And it leaves a lot of space for the imagination to roam..

But in my opinion there could have been more dialogues (after all my favorite game is Baldur's Gate 2, which is made of 90% dialogues and 10% action! I don't care about graphics in games, I just like a good story, especially for an RPG.. Yes I know, I've been told a billion times to go grab a book and read.. lol).

One thing that was better in the first KotOR was that you could say things that would lead to funny dialogues, in the second game whatever you say they answer the same damn thing.

But there's more to dialogues than just romance, there can be friendship, or total hatred, the best dialogues are those that make you actually feel something, maybe feel that you're in the skin of your character, and to me dialogues that will make me laugh are even better than boring "I love you" dialogues. That's why I liked the relationship with Carth in the first game. Some of the dialogues were really funny.

The characters in KotOR II are all good (yes even Mical!! lol), they all have their own personality, their conflicts, I just wish Obsidian had developped them even more. Sometimes it really looks to me like they only developped Kreia fully.
I'd welcome a mod that would only add dialogues (not only romance dialogues though), heck I would even create it myself if I was capable of writing proper English!

Oh well.. I'm just a hopeless romantic anywayz, and a silly Atton fangirl, I just can't help but find his voice and his attitude smexeh! lol

(Sorry for my long comments.......... )

Hehe - cool work again!
And NO - I am no going to accept that the Exile is a female (not because I have something against females) just because in some stupid droid guide somebody wrote something about HK saying that Exile was a female. It does not changes my feeling that the Exile is in fact a male - since the male side of story is more complete one - especially with Visas being in love with him (and Brianna too).

Bug-Off In reply to robokop [2007-06-25 02:13:42 +0000 UTC]

You know, you bring up an interesting point. That is, Brianna follows the male Exile. Personally, I like Brianna more than Mical. She kicks more ass than almost anyone else in the game (second only to Haanhar). And aside from that, I think her story is more interesting than Micals, in that she was an outcast amongst the handmaids and underappreciated until she joins the Exile and discovers her true strength.
However I feel that I must disagree with you. I find Atton's romantic interest in the female Exile more fun. Right off the bat he starts hitting on her (which makes for some funny dialogue) but then eventually learns to trust her and then really falls for her. And even though all his advances are in vain, with her help he learns to let go of his dark past gets a second chance to atone for his sins. In the end his life is better for having known her.

It was a tough decision for me, but I think that between the two (even though I hate not having Brianna) I like the female version of the Exile the best.

About Brianna - oh yeah! She is always my second best jedi (second only to me). In my opinion all the ladies are better as characters and jedi/sith than male characters. Kreia is the best character I ever seen in a game. I prefer Mira to Hanharr - his rage is cool but my Mira beats him anyway and twice! Besides she looks way better in that dancer outfit! I like the fact that Biranna is jealous about Visas and they have this interesting converation and Mira adds her advice how to catch a man - hehe. I think one of the best dialogs in the game.
I played as female of course and it was even more disappointing than male romance story. At least you know that Visas loves you, because she actually says that. You know that Brianna loves you. We know that Mira finds you atractive in reality... but she won't admit her feelings (some of the cut content too I guess) and we do know that Kreia loves you (maybe a different kind of love - but still).
With female - alll we get is Atton being jelaous about Mical. Yes - in the cut content when he is dying he says that he loves the Exile but that is kind of late - don't you think?

The rivalry between the two of them is the best! I think that it's because Atton is so bad at being subtle with his advances and the Deciple is so freaking clueless.

rofl, and I like it when Mical thinks Atton's freaking clueless. When they get that message for the Exile to go to the trap, and Atton say's sarcastically that's it's a good thing it's not a trap, and Mical says "No Atton, I think it is a trap." what the hell is that about!!!!
