The silence is murder,It brings about a pain that he can never wane,
We just sit here on the phone,
Him never talking,
Me always waiting,
Hating.
Is love really real?
Or is it an illusion?
Placed in front of us by society,
A great thing they say,
It will make you happy they say,
Love is everything they say,
They were wrong.
Love is everything and nothing at the same time,
The soul does not need it,
The body does though,
But the body needs it on a sexual level,
The mind distinguishes this as love,
So groups start talking about it,
And then they name it.
And we parade around with our \"mate\",
Never understanding whats really going on,
Never really loving,
Only wanting.

fan! i agree with the poem, except for that the soul doesnt need love, i think it does, i hate the silence in fone calls between boyfriends, it drives me mad,i end up thinking "why am i with this jerk?!"

i disagree with your poem.. especially about the body needs love but the soul doesnt. and you didnt elaborate on how it was everything and nothing at the same time like you did with everything else... not a fan.
