I'm sure that whoever zip-tied these flowers and scribbled "RIP HELEN" on the balustrade of the High Level Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, had nothing but the very best of intentions. Now their token of grief is a blight, and it's unlikely that they will come to tidy up their mess. The flowers, like Helen, are dead, with the wind occasionally carrying bits of this litter away into the river below.What would Helen think?
