Description
Argentavis magnificens the heaviest flying bird of all time chases down an almost meter long macroeuphractes, the largest non glytpodont armadillo discovered.
Unlike their modern day relatives, teratorns such as argentavis likely didn't spend much time scavenging on the wing. With large robust legs and a skull more adapted for gripping and swallowing, itβs possible argentavis was instead a terrestrial pursuit predator, chasing its prey on the ground.
