Rusty was originally supposed to be a better version of Metal Scourge. Omellette nega failed to make him that way, however, so he's pretty much sassy and breaks all the rules she tells him. He's also very flirty when it comes to Lumina and is friends with her brother, Void. Think of him as a Nega Shard.
