Oh, dear, now I really must apologize, Doreen, for giving Bryan all the credit for this wonderful image. I did not realize that you were our wonderful Doreen from Skinz.org . I am very sorry Doreen, it just did not click when I read your name that the lady was you. And you know I luv ya!

Now, since you had a major part in the creation of this image...and I loved it enough to write a quirky poem about it, which actually means I truly love it, I would really like to see more of your art, because this is spectacular. It looks like the viewer may be missing something very special, and Skinz is not the 'only' forum on the block you know.

(She walked into the room with a large WalMart bag hanging on her arm. She sat on the floor and took out of the bag one large sheet of posterboard and a great big black permanent marker. She leaned over the posterboard and began to write... WE WANT DOREEN'S ART...WE WANT DOREEN'S ART. She wrote it 21 times, turned the poster board over, and wrote it 25 more. Then she nailed it to a stick and hammered the stick into the ground beside the DEVART building. It sat there all night long, through the dew and a short rain and in the morning, when the sun had risen, all the letters had turned to sparkling silver and gold. It was a wondrous interaction between the name, DOREEN, some sparkling stars, soft moonlight and the sun which given the chance, will decorate anything...and the wish WE WANT DOREEN'S ART.)

I really, really, love this Bryan. It contains that sense of tactility, and hint of humor, that I have seen many times in your work. Your hand in it's direction is very evident. (I made one of these words up, see if you can guess which one..hehe)


Vortexillated,
silken squares of texture
flow along predestined paths
It is a folded throng.
Move right along.

A silver moon dressed by the sun
hangs inside the view
usually waits in shadow
until the sun says, "this day is through".

Then the artist speaks the vision
look, oh, welcome ones
see the sateen textures, and the moon
decorated by the sun.

Truly a beautiful image. I think I could write two more poems about this image. I wish to dwell here longer, but I must 'move right along.'

Hmmm,
Very original idea, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.
I do think I'd prefer the moon to have the 'simple cutout' look that the sun was given.
