Description

Eclectus Blackbirds are a kind of songbird, which was bred magically from the Common Blackbird, in order to provide a safe and magically more robust subject for testing spells, potions and magical devices. This practice has largely fallen out of favour now but is sometimes undertaken by less scrupulous witches and wizards. The female is ivory white, and the male is charcoal black, both have yellow bills, eyelids and legs.
