One of Kumi’s influence of being “a Teenage Galaxy Fairy who experiencing teenager days” was where I watched a couple of MLAATR episodes and the pilot. I didn't want Kumi to be more to a “Magical Japanese Girl” style to be cute trope, and watching MLAATR gave an influence to make her more than just being a ‘Magical Japanese Girl’, as she wants her life to be a kin to hobbies and friends, but she’ll have to do the favors of fending off foes and villains who disturbs her homeworld and the galaxy as a whole.

Though, you can expect Kumi going full fight more in a kind to anime fight style. But at the same time, she sometimes gets into that tomboy mood if she doesn't like being too girly.
