A wonderful use of color, space, and technique. Just a beautiful composition! The cat prevents the bottom space from overwhelming the image and somehow the tonal gradient creates a pocket of warmth around the figure while making the lower balcony feel cold and inhospitable.
On a personal note, it somehow feels like a book cover...Like one of the old 'Scholastic" hardcover editions. Even on screen it has a richness and weight.
I'm sure I could come up with some more critical comments if I tried, but they would be the kind of hyper-critical nonsense you always punish yourself with after finishing a project.
This is just a wonderful piece!

I have to say, this piece is absolutely wonderful. You've captured that arty French style (at least what I'd call it, perhaps art nouveau?). Anyway, it's delightful and I love the fact the girl is out in the rain reading her book, despite the chance of it getting ruined. It shows just how relaxed and carefree she is.
I'm a big fan of oil on canvas and I can definitely see this sitting happily on someone's wall. It's certainly of a high quality.

This is so incredible! I love that it's like urban fantasy; it's raining, yet comfortable to sit on your patio in booty shorts barefoot. Such amazing lighting on her face, and I love how the city consists of so many narrow buildings. Narrower than you would find in real life, but so fun to imagine.
