Name: "Ayako. It means 'colour' and 'child' in Japanese."
Age: "16."
Gender: "I... don't look like a guy, do I?"
Favourite Pokemon: "Don't make me choose just one! At least let me choose all the fire pokemon or something!"

Backstory:
Ayako grew up surrounded by art. Her father was a painter and her mother a sculptor. She spent her childhood days running about Viridian Forest, as she lived in Viridian City, and painting or sketching the scenery. She also grew to love fire pokemon, as her mother had a pet Growlithe that would help bake her clay sculptures. It was no surprise that Ayako's first choice would be a Charmander.

Ayako is very laid-back and carefree. She does not care very much for battles nor collecting pokemon, claiming that all they did was hurt them. Besides, she was a bit too lazy to train them.
That doesn't mean Ayako can't battle, though, because if someone's safety or Pokemon were at stake, she can be quite ferocious.
Ayako enjoys watching Pokemon Contests very much for their artistic value, and hopes to participate in the Kanto Grand Festival at the Indigo Plateau.

Her bag contains a stash of drawing supplies which she pulls out once in a while to draw with. One of her dreams is to see the "Smeargle", the painter pokemon, that she's once heard of before in a book.

Personal Catchphrase: "You've got to see the colour in the world."

Notes: She has other outfits for colder and warmer places, but nobody knows how she manages to fit them all in that bag...
