Edinburgh Castle, Scotland, dominates both the Old and New Towns of the city. This picture was taken from a very windy Scott Monument, one place where you can get a clear view without straining to look up. It was taken mid-morning. You can see some of Princes Street Gardens in the foreground. Although it was late April, the trees were all still bare because we had had a very cold spring.
