The intergalactic leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy series was once one of Marvel’s most lesser known group of heroes, that was until they were brought into the MCU in 2014 and now everyone loves them. Other than having an awesome code name, Peter Quill is one awesome dude. Peter Quill is naturally upbeat, sarcastic and is known for looking on the bright side. He’s practically space batman, with a fun personality and good taste in music. He may be arrogant and a sarcastic genius but he’s loyal, protective of his comrades and despite being raised as a thief has shown acts of heroism. He took off his helmet in the vacuum of space to save Gamora and formed the Guardians to protect said galaxy. He may hide it well, but he has a strong love towards his family and loved ones, which drives him to protect those around him and makes him reluctant to hurt his friends. However, his emotions do tend to get the best of him as he's prone to outburst of rage and sadness when confronted by the death of a loved one especially his mother. He may not be everyone’s favorite space adventurer after what he did in Infinity War but it’s an understandable flaw and it’s a tie to show he’s still human. Weaknesses aside, I love how Quill’s inventive and extremely unorthodox plans he comes up with on the fly, which makes him a difficult opponent to fight. He’s also got some pretty cool toys like his dual quad blasters, energy bolas, his iconic helmet, gravity mines, and his element gun from the comics. His leadership qualities, charisma, sense of humor, and style of music is why Star Lord is my favorite.
