This is my color submission for the October Coloring Contest for the Color-Me-Club [link]Line Art by Windk [link]
This is the 2nd digital coloring that I have EVER finished!
This is also the 4th digital coloring I have ever done, so if you have any thoughts as to how to make it better, please feel free to let me know.

Tip on shading: try not to make the shading so thin close to the edges, it makes it look more 2D. Try to make the shading more spread out helps to make things look more rounded.
I love your color choices. You got the directions that the light is coming from consisitent.

I understand what you are saying about the some of the shading getting lost. I saw it once the picture got smaller. I will just have to get that in mind the next time I shade. I hate shading! 
And I am glad you like the color choices! I don't know how many times I changed my mind on the colors when I was just getting the flat color down.

this is very nice, especially for someone who doesn't use digital coloring as much! I admit I haven't entered anything because I don't have a lot of practice at it - you did a good job though

Her hair took FOREVER! But I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. For me, it just a lot of trail and error to see how things play off one another. I have a few other coloring I am working on at the moment. Every one of them is a slightly different take on how to color them to see which well I like it and which turns out best. So, I would say practice and post and see what others have to say.
