Luca is well seen as an amiable wolf, first impressions are that he is a welcoming character with a gentle charm. Kindness has always come easily to Luca, some may see it as a softness that contribute to one of his biggest flaws. Trust blindly, he is always wanting to see the best in others, even when what he’s looking for isn’t there. There's a sense of needing to overcompensate when with others, alway wanting to please the packs he can sometimes forget his own needs, often needing others to remind him of such things as taking a break or having an extra meal once and a while.

After hard-ships of losing his parents, Luca has grown a lot in his own resolve, being the voice of reason was just as important as the voice of action. Leadership has not come without struggles, Luca has a lot of hidden self doubt, his biggest critic he constantly worries whether he’s making the right choices.

Backstory:
Luca entered the world beside his sister, Yeegla , drawing in the first strong breaths of life together. As the first litter of the Selcouth leaders there was great excitement and expectation surrounding their childhood. From early on Luca was quiet in comparison to his sister, more hesitant towards new things he was often stuck to his sisters side. As Yeegla grew more bold with each passing day, Luca was more content to watch on, following leisurely at her lead. Often others would tease at how he was a push over to his sisters whims but Luca would always simply smile and move on.

Reaching his adolescent years Luca did come out of his shell, much to his parent’s pleasure. Despite his lack in talent compared to his sister, Luca was known for his warm charm and upbeat nature. Most of Selcouth came to enjoy the males' light banter. However some were still mocking towards his softness, not helping the fact that Luca would often shy away from confrontation. Unfortunately during one incident with a couple of young pack-mates, unpleasant words were exchanged and while Luca was pent up he was looking to walk away, when his sister entered the situation, she on the other hand wasn’t about to swallow any insult and went straight to the offence leading to a brawl. No matter his non-confrontational nature Luca snapped when his sister was involved, quickly taking her side in the heated fight.

After you could bet the two were met with a harsh scolding by their parents. While Luca hated to disappoint their parents he couldn’t bring himself to truly feel guilt… at least not for the ones who had been bullying him but he did regret that it was his sister now facing the punishment, he should have handled it sooner. Again instead he relied on his sister.

From that moment on Luca made a decision, he needed to be stronger, at least a little for his sisters sake.

To make up for his unexceptional talent Luca built his respect with connections to his pack, caring and building strength between the members of Selcouth with his benevolent personality. In comparison to his sister's skills in the water he had no such gifts, instead he seemed surprisingly more adapted to the land. Easily traveling long distances over the packs landscape he became a scout, and a good scout at that. His new task gave him independence from the pack and more specifically his sister allowing the two to finally grow into their own.

What was unexpected was the sudden appearance of Alastair, a loner who had been stalking the Selcouths borders for some time before finally making his greeting. What made the encounter shocking was that it was his sister introducing him. To say the least it was proven hard at first to accept that his sister was in love with the stranger, however Luca was quickly won over by Alastair when his intentions were proven pure. In fact with time he found a close friend in the male.

That Spring

How the initial day of that dreadful event would forever remain ingrained in Luca’s mind, It was like any day, while the season had been unusually warm the pack hadn’t been too worried. How wrong they had been… By the time they had realised it was too late, in the efforts to get everyone to higher ground they had lost Luca’s father, overcome by freezing waters.

The grief took a devastating toll, however it would only be realised just how much once they were finally out of the danger zone.

His mother, grieving her mate, passed the word that he, Yeegla and Alastair would now need to step up as alphas, for she was no longer able to bear the weight. Even though Yeegla and Luca had prepared their entire lives for the moment, neither had thought it would happen this way. Left without the time to properly mourn their fathers death the siblings were faced with rebuilding the pack. It soon became clear that it was all too much for his sister, the light her eyes clouded and distant from the moment. At that time Luca had to step up, lifting what weight he could from her, to give her time to heal… No matter how hard it proved to be.

Gratefully when the most in need his mother gathers the three new leaders, she had known what was needed through wisdom. Sat like pups once again they were made to express themselves and after a few awkward words they started to flood with emotion, humour and sorrow. He had never been so grateful to his family and soon wounds started to heal, hope was renewed.

Once the waters had receded Selcouth was led back by the three new leaders, however they had not met the last surprise the floods had brought. Taiga, trespassing on their land, furious Luca almost joined his sister as she threatened the Taigarians but in the end reason won out and using the treaty Luca de-escalated the situation, sending them back home.

Life returned anew in the seasons following as Luca took his place among the three leaders of Selcouth, they lost their mother soon after the return to their homeland facing leadership independently but united. Strong together Selcouth entered a new era.
