After all I've heard, all I've been through, there was never another I could look back to.

None to show a sad smile but in return a happy one.

I was alone; no one ever heard my voice echo through the hallway when I searched for a glimpse of help in anyone's eyes. Though when I talk, others find themselves lost in the words I simply say in phrases, clauses, and even sentences. . .

But you stand here with your head down low and tears flowing to no end. You still saw me through those misty eyes and held my hand when yours was shaking.

You told me I wasn't alone.

You told me I had no fear.

You told me that I'm only here for I wish to be.

Why would I wish to be in such a place that shows misery and woe that gives a black stare when I've craved for life more than I do the touch on my skin? To be in these hollow halls with no end, to see no one till I was in dire need of warmth.

You made no sense to me, but I made so much to you. When you lift up your head I saw no face, no eyes to gaze at, and no lips to kiss if I wished so. I heard your voice, I heard it echo, but how do you speak when you can't even see.

I am not alone, merely misunderstood by those in white and misjudged by those in black.
