no i dont mix! nor do i spin! I swear im inept. The closest i got was some mixes i made on fruity loops, and acid...and even then i dont really get into it too much these days.
AS for my art im making things off the time sigs from songs, and placing them as fractal locations (usually in julia) and merging them with elements of sound, and artist preference. The result is a style based on the music, using it for flyers, posters, and backdrops. As for animations, that is some stepage. I'm going to try that later...after i can say i have a good understanding of uf, and digital art...for now, homages, and album covers...stickers, flyers, support.

Oh...ok, soo you using music lyrics just like
for the few pieces I saw I was ahead of you
thinking you gonna do a cosmic mix-trance with
julias swirling and changing color in space....yeahh
I haven't tries animation even i have the animated version
at home ....honestly, haven't even read the tuto for it
which is too bad ...maybe i will after, the contest
- make it a summer project or something !!!

Well a lot of electronica doesnt really have a lot of lyrics. There are some, infected mushroom, some shpongle, and some of the more well known groups like aphex twin or crystal method. But i also have been using some of the BPM and time sigs to make some of the swirling julias, or images that have come out.
The animation is a trip. you can hold down the color cycle button for some cheap milk drop effects, and save them for animation, but the tutorial is a more in depth step by step method for making that last or making them blend into different effects. They are heavy on memory, and take some serious precision in uf.
If you want to play with the idea, try FL studio. you can not only make your own beats but you can also make videos, make all kinds of crazy images.........
or use the new software plugin for winamp....milk drop 2.0

haven;t tried animating UF yet I would have to go thru all the tutos
and don't have the time ...(or should say that much motivation for it)
i would say the animation would come first and then get the music for
it and maybe re-adjust ....hmmm

the tuts are pretty easy to get thru. though in my copy there are some bugs trying to copy some of the param sets they want from their examples to my table...but i figured out a way around that. i looked at the animation tutorial when some friends asked if i could make them a motion backdrop for their performance troupe. I was able to do some bacic color blends...but was dis satisfied when i attempted to make multiple pieces do that...you dont want to know how bad it looked. which is why i suggested the other programs. milk drop is fractal based, and combined all the elements of uf, apo, xaos, fe, tierazon, and some off shoots...it makes full blown 3d animations...but i ave little time to handle it...and im consumed with uf.

I think the easiest anime program i know so far is sketch up
Im very tempted to see how the anime bar works in UF
have been staring at it every time I create a fractal

Incredible! Fractal forms are the closest to mimicing natural forms but I have never seen a generation look this close to actual orchids! Bravo!

thank you very much. i love orchids a lot, and it was definitely cool to get a chance to learn how to make some. im hoping to try my hand at some another time too. we'll see. this was an insane amount of work.

This is breathtaking! You have definitely mastered UltraFractal.

I'm truly beginning to think that is truly not possible. There are so many possibilities and every time i have something figured out i find something new. But I can definitely agree and say i am very comfortable with UF now.
