There might have been a time where I was.
I might have smiled with someone, back before all memories brought pain and white.
I might have been saved, awaken by someone. Someone who Trusted and never, ever left.
But if I ever have, it's all gone away now. Like sun behind clouds, unreachable, unthinkable.
Like the rain He fell. Burn my heart indeed. The light gone out of both of our eyes. The heart and the mind. Neither can live apart from the other.
The peasants brought their torches to the windmill to kill Frankensteins Freak.
"Kill the monster, murderer, Beast, Freak." The man who I had insulted shouted.
"I told you he would. But just let him continue, did you. Now see what he did." The woman who I had rejected shouted. "You said the Freak had gotten better, that the idiot doct-"
I stopped her shouting. Freak I could handle, but you never ever insult the hero.
It's okay if you go after Beast, but Beauty never deserved that treatment.
