Description
BBBBBBZZZZT!!!

A sudden flash of bright red light that engulfed the entire city, San Diego vanished into thin air. Those on the outskirts looked on in shock and confusion, having just seen the skyline disappear in the blink of an eye. In that fraction of a second, San Diego and its million inhabitants were transported miles away from where they had just been. The expanse of ocean was gone, as were the mountain ranges. The bright blue sky was still there, although something about it was off. The sunlight glared through what was unmistakably a window. The realization hit rather quickly as millions of eyes gazed upwards and took in their surroundings. Bricks larger than city blocks towered above, creating a barrier that stretched dozens of miles into the sky. There were but a few seconds for everyone to try and understand what was happening before an alarmingly thunderous chuckle caused the entire city to shudder.

Buildings swayed and a few windows shattered as a dark shadow crept over the terrified populace. Brownish-bronze walls seemed to coil around the entire city from all sides. The structural integrity of every building was put to the ultimate test as scales the size of cars plowed through the streets, bumping into skyscrapers and knocking many inhabitants aside. Many tried to escape, but there was nowhere to go. Citizens scrambled back to their feet and assisted in helping those who had been pinned underneath the scaly walls get pulled free. Those in the central portion of the city watched in awe as a figure began to rise higher and higher above the skyscrapers. That was the moment hundreds of thousands were face to face with the absolutely massive creature that had surrounded their entire city with their immense reptilian body.

Very few didn’t immediately recognize the villainous snake. The ‘Bad Guy’ was notorious, but this was on a whole other level. Many quaked where they stood as they watched the snake’s dark eyes scan the streets, in search for something. It wasn’t until the giant reptile looked directly beneath him did his eyes light up mischievously. Nearly everyone clasped their hands over their ears as the miles long criminal spoke with a hint of amusement in his raspy voice.

“Didn’t think the whole city would get shrunken too… Oops~” Mr. Snake waved a strange looking ray-gun being held with his tail. He then lowered his head slowly, grinning at all the horrified people gazing upwards at him. His forked tongue tasted the air, and just to toy with all of the ant sized people, he allowed his tongue to flick against one of the larger skyscrapers. Those inside panicked and rushed to hide behind their desks. With a playful grin, the snake rose back up to his impressive height and chuckled once more. “Hahaha! Sssuckers~”

The reptile carefully set the ray-gun onto the ground beside him and tapped the roof of another building with the tip of his tail. Some windows exploded outwards as the entire building dangerously swayed side to side. With any added pressure the entire thing could easily collapse into the pile of rubble, but Mr. Snake had a different plan. Anyone could guess what it was the second everyone realized which building he ‘gently’ tapped. A new bank had opened up the previous week, and it was a prime target. Hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not a few million, would be his to claim.

A heist that would have taken weeks or months of planning had been made possible in a few minutes thanks to the recently repaired shrink ray the group had stolen ages ago from a government lab. The snake made a mental note to thank Webs the next time he saw her. After a few seconds of allowing the citizens of San Diego to panic and scurry around like terrified insects, Mr. Snake spoke again, this time a bit softer to spare their tiny ear drums.

“You know what I want~ And since I have you all here… I think I’ll take it all,” His keen eyes scanned the city for more banks and credit unions, spotting at least a dozen or so of them. “Do that and I’ll return you all back safe and sound! Try holding out on me… Well… I’m sure you all would make a good snack.” There was a devilish inflection to his voice, followed up by another playful flick of his forked tongue in the direction of a massive crowd of fearful citizens.

While he waited for his money to be brought to him, Mr. Snake glanced back down towards the shrink ray and pondered about all the possibilities. No doubt this would bolster the ‘Bad Guys’ infamy, as well as make future heists as easy as taking candy from a baby. Just then a troublesome thought came to mind. Did the shrink ray have the ability to reverse its effects? The snake turned his attention back to the tiny humans rushing to bring out every penny that was stored inside the bank directly beneath him. That certainly complicated matters, but the reptile didn’t worry much. Webs would figure something out. Until then, the Snake would have some new toys to play with.
