I so could imagine Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper *in an AU* being apart of the Crystal Gems along with Pearl, Rose/steven, Garnet, and Amethyst *along with a couple other male gems*

I can imagine the interactions with Steven: Lapis would be like a big sister to him *other Than Amethyst* Peridot would get annoyed with him but would still care about him as much as the other gems do, and Jasper, she'd be the one who'd be tough on him *due to her nature* But still care about him.

Amethyst: Speaking of which, Lapis you wouldn't understand him, and his dad's a mess. Garnet's not big on talking, Diamond *male gem, black* wouldn't know what to do, Citrine *Male gem, yellow* your a worse influnce than i am, and we don't have Rose her to tell us what to do.
Citrine: Your over reacting Amethyst, Rose wouldn't have left him in our and greg's care if she didn't believe in us.
Diamond: But...what if she's right...i mean come on guys, we rigged the whole test so steven wouldn't kill himself and to make it easy for him.

Peridot: Oh sure...and let him go through something so rigerous so he kills himself, that's a fine idea.

Jasper: Sure and this is helping him. The kid can't rely on us forever, he has to figure things out for himself.
Diamond: And the more we go easy on him, the more it seems we're ruining his chance for success.
Pearl: But he needs us to show him how to be a gem.

Garnet: He's more than that too.....there's isn't anyone or anything like Steven. We don't know what he needs.
