Yes, she is a Zeltron.
Dana actually didn't start out as an X-wing pilot. In fact, when she first got involved with the Rebellion there was no such thing as an X-wing - it was only a year or so after the end of the Clone Wars. However, she stayed with the cause for a long time, flying whatever she could to get the job done. But once the Incom technicians defected to the Alliance and brought their prototype X-wings with them, she firmly declared that she never wanted to go back, enjoying - like most aficionados of the X-wing - the excellent balance of maneuverability, ruggedness and firepower.
