Description Here's the blue snow leopard, all done! Well... 99.9% done, I keep forgetting I haven't sewn up the neck flap until I see it flapping on photos. And I may make the tail a little larger, if the customer wants that.

My hand is VERY sore from painting all those spots! I spent the last two days putting spots on.

They're painted with an alcohol-based dye, similar to sharpie ink.

I have watched Youtube tutorials on how to make the feet and I am sculpting some right now, check my page soon or watch me to see them when I have finished one.

Wow, this is truly incredible. Did you hand paint all those spots? or airbrush them?
The colors, and the head is amazing, I love the blue tones

I have a feeling I can make a suit better, for around $150... but... It looks good, i'm suprised at the fur you found! It makes it stand right out, how many fursuits have you made?

Lots.

And I didn't find that fur, the fur is pure white. I painted the spots on myself.

what kinda paint?

It's actually a leather dye, which has a consistency like ink, very watery. It doesn't dye the fur, but it's alcohol based and very strongly pigmented, so it colors it very well and it waterproof.

If it doesn't dye the fur, how does it stick to the fabric?

Will any type of leather ink do, or do you recommend a particular brand?

Ah, you do suffer for your art, sometimes. What did the cat make of it?

Bladespark In reply to EvilEgg [2008-01-09 22:03:51 +0000 UTC]

The cat is completely indifferent to fursuits. She begs for pettings the same way, and doesn't seem to care if I deliver them with huge fuzzy paws.

He he he. Thanks! (Hey, for ONLY $1,500 you can have one just like it! Well, almost just like it, I avoid duplicating suits exactly...)
