Tidalwave instructs Veritas to chaperone Khylus, hoping the young toa will learn a little about diplomacy and deal making by bringing him to the meeting with Devour.

Here they seal the deal with Devour becoming a new general for Tidalwave, and the promise of vengeance for his fallen friend is made- sealing a certain blue toa in Terendum’s fate. Veritas is the only one unhappy with the deal, untrusting of the newcomer who suddenly appeared from the snow with promises of glory and bloodshed, and also feeling a small twinge of fear that he might not be his father’s favorite anymore, if Devour truly can deliver on his promise.
