"pa, what was grandpa like?"
well, i never knew him but he was a great man. he was hailed as the savior of shadowclan and we're all alive today thanks to him. although, the cats who did know him told me he was...bitter. and strict. never smiled. after his first mate died he completely isolated himself from the clan and lead it from the darkness of his den. it wasnt until the great battle that he finally emerged and fought to his death, killing the bloodclan leader and ultimately dismantling the forsaken clan... the wooden spike that pierces those rolling hills is there to commemorate his death.
"do you think ill be able to talk to grandpa if i go to the spike like the medicine cat does sometimes?!"
ahah, no honey... though sometimes if you stand by it really really quietly, you'll feel and hear a cold breeze run through the grass... they say it's him gracing you with his presence.
"whoa can we do that right now?!"
its far too late! its time for bed!
