June is having a horrendous start this year. Not only did we have attacks in London but we got lost quite a number of celebrities just like in January of 2016 with several celebrities like David Bowie, Alan Rickman and Brian Bedford. This month, we lost Peter Sallis (the voice of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit) and just recently Adam West (the actor of the 1966 Batman TV series! Not only that, but he also had numerous voice roles like Catman from the Fairly Oddparents, Mayor West from Family Guy, Nighthawk from the Super Hero Squad Show, Uncle Art from Meet the Robinsons and my most favorite of them all, Simon Trent AKA the Gray Ghost from Batman the Animated series).

While Kevin Conroy might be considered the best Batman in the modern era, Adam West is still a favorite amongst many Batman and DC fans. And I was shocked to know that he passed away this soon. I knew Peter Sallis wouldn't last much longer and same with Don Rickles but Adam West's death was just sudden! He had a short Leukemia, the thing that killed Edd Gould, the creator of Eddsworld in 2012. I just didn't think he would die so soon and it was only a year and a half before we could reach his 90th birthday.

His role as Batman may not be the more serious of all Batman incarnations but it is at least silly in a fun way. I love the way he spoke when playing as Batman or voicing another character. In fact, I tried mimicing his voice for an idea for a Web Toon parody of Superheroes named Caiman Pest and Wart Bird. It was originally called "Black Rhino Ranger and Cool Croc's Bad Guy Busting" using my mascots but I decided to give the two superhero roles to Caiman Pest (a Caiman wearing a Mosquito costume) and Wart Bird (a Warthog wearing a Bird costume). It was orginally meant as an idea for a mascot company to promote multi-vitamin tablets but after being rejected, I might as well make it a Web Toon instead.

Since he passed away this quickly, this is making me nervous of when it is time for Stan Lee (the creator of many Marvel Superheroes, the man behind many cameos in the Marvel Movies and the voice of the Mayor of Super Hero City in the Super Hero Squad) to go as well.
