Description

Originally drawn in 2016. It was never published until now. It was originally a teaser image for an idea for an animation which involved smart phones and stylus, also known as a computer pen. In the animation, Trigger Happy discovers a stylus on the floor, scratches his head, and then he gets interrupted by Cynder listening to the song "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding. Trigg couldn't stand the song so then he had an idea. He sneaked behind Cynder while she had her eyes closed and crossed out "Like You" and instead of playing "Love Me Like You Do", it started playing "Love Me Do" by the Beatles. What follows is other evens when Cynder is trying to listen to her pop tunes but gets rewritten and replaced with another song. For example:

-"Whatever You Like" by T.I. (crossed out "T.I." and wrote "Weird Al Yankovic")

-"Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani (crossed out "Girl" and wrote "Man", automatically plays "If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof)

-"Burn" by Ellie Goulding (added "Baby Burn", automatically plays "Disco Inferno" by the Trammps)

-"Fancy" by Iggy Azalea (completely crossed out and written "Handy by Weird Al Yankovic")

-"Can't Stop the Feeling" from Dreamworks Trolls (crossed out "Stop The" and wrote "Fight This", plays a song by REO Speedwagon)

-"Monster" by Justin Bieber (wrote in "The Other Monster song", plays "Monster" by Skillet, didn't like it, wrote "2006", plays "Monster" by Automatic)

-The latest pop song plays, Trigg tries to rewrite it. But can't think of another song he likes halfway. Causing the phone to overload and be destroyed, flinging Trigger Happy. Cynder however is still asleep.

When Cynder wakes up, she noticed her phone was destroyed, so she goes out to town to get a new one. She noticed Trigg's stylus on the floor. Doesn't like it and crushes it with her bare hands. Trigg ends up sad.

However, I scrapped this idea because I knew it wouldn't age well and I tend to have a tradition to not try and go with current trends unless they are related to something I truly love like say Skylanders being bought by Microsoft or the controversy with NFTs and how it's affecting the animation, gaming and art community.

Had I made it today, I'd probably just use it to replace the song Cynder is listening from "Eat it" by Megan Thee Stallion to "Eat it" by Weird Al Yankovic. That's it.
