Wow, I've been there before, but never saw the mirror on the lake. How early did you have to get up to take this?

Well the wind starts picking up about 7:30 - 8... so i guess i was out there about 6:30 - 7. It was bloody cold, but definately worth it. Ive got about another 4 or 5 pics from that same morning in my gallery.

This is an incredible capture, the lake is so placid that it appears like a giant mirror for that wonderful sky. The clouds enhance the peaceful mood, and the mountains in the background give this a majestic sort of serenity. The trees may actually be a little too dark in contrast, however the sky does make up for it immensely. Great job

Absolutely fabulous.
Ive browsed your shots. Amazing work.
Im curious. You shoot with the S1. Im considering picking it up but the price tag is a bit steep for a 3M.
How do you like it?
Any problems or trouble areas?

hey!
thanx for the comment. about the S1, its a great camera. but its more of an all-in-one package. i mean its a great camera and it takes great pics, but the reason for its price is the fact that you dont need to b an expert to be able to use it.. and really user friendly, and the fast x10 zoom its really handy.
If id had a little more money, i would've gone to the canon pro1, but this suits my needs well. i havnt really found any problems with it.. well nothing major. i mean nothings absloutely perfect. by memory i think there was one little thing that was bugging me, oh, and also the lens cap is crap.. coz it dosnt stay on.. but thats about it. nothing big.
well, i hope i was of some help. hope you find the right camera 4 u. and please come back and check out some more of my stuff if u get the time.
take care, bizstice

Thank you.
I have the A70 as a 'pocket camera' for everday use. I wanted to upgrade to the S1 for the IS, USM and 10x but the price tag is almost obscene. If it were a 4M I could understand the high price. I will probably end up getting it. Id love to go with the Minolta Z3 but the lack of CF means Id have to buy all new memory and thats the same as paying the high price of the canon. >_<
Again thank you for the information. ^_^
