It looked so good but it tasted sooooooo bad....I don't know how I managed to make gross ice cream, but I did. I couldn't even finish one scoop. It was terrible.
Has anyone ever had noyaux ice cream? It's made with the kernels from pits of stone fruits (oooooohhhh... Dangerous! Haha). It smelled really good while it was coming together, and the kernels from the cherry pits smelled amazing (seriously - the scent was indescribable. I wished I could bottle it), but it was just.... Ew.

Ew! I'm sorry it turned out so bad. :/ Maybe its an acquired taste? It sounds like a good idea on paper, but I wonder what the kernels themselves really taste like. :/

The kernels smelled REALLY good while I was taking them out, and the ice cream does taste really good... at first.
I think it just got, like, bitter. Kind of like if you steep tea too long, I think.

I bet there's something in the kernels that does that. It would be interesting to research what they're made out of and what kind of effect that has on them, cooking-wise.
