i wish i could draw as freely as you do. i overthink things and somehow always end up standing in my own way :S
and yeah, aren't moleskines the greatest sketchbooks ever invented?

YES. Moleskines are the greatest. I hope to God that they soon create moleskines in a square shape in the future. I would enjoy that.
And I do not draw freely. I over think everything :[
Then end up hating it or loving it. So maybe overthinking with art isnt that bad? :/

Yeah, maybe. But anyway, I really like what you do : )
I've just noticed you're from New York. I'm applying for two different schools there (School of Visual Arts and Pratt). Do you know anything about these schools? I know it's none of my business, but are are you applying to any schools in New York?

I don't really know much about the schools since I'm steering away from art a bit. So I hardly looked into them. But my stepmother went to Pratt and liked it (However, that was a decade ago).I go to an art highschool, so many of my peers are applying to pratt and SVA. I have the sva books though, lol. The work in it is so good!
So I know nothing :[ I'm sorry. Good luck with applying! Are any of these your first choice???
And I applied to nothing outside of new york city. I love this place (majority of the time) so leaving would suck.

At Pratt, like 40% of the applicants are admited and last year 407 of the 481 (or something) students who applied for financial aid, got it.
At SVA I have no idea.
So I'm just wishing for a scholarship really hard : )

Now as far as the journal entry is concerned. This looks really, really, cool. I love this whole concept.

I went to buy a Moleskin yesterday to see what all the hubbub was about. Then I saw how much money they wanted for one. $17.00 fucking dollars for a small pamphlet. Fuck that.
If I spent $17.00 on paper it better do more than just lay there as I draw. It better be doing my laundry and cooking my dinner.
So yeah I didn't buy the Moleskin. Besides I have a better system worked out for myself. I have a leather cover for my journals that I can use again and again it looks really cool.

I got a three pack of moleskines for like... 14 bucks at a Blick art store. Its the black soft cover, but still. They each have the little pocket in the back cover and like 100 pages. I used to use a cool japanese style fold out moleskine, but I filled it. It was stupid expensive.

You should try one. REALLY.
I mean, yeah. I get really cranky everytime I buy one cause of the price. But. It's so worth it when I start drawing in it. I guess the book itself inspires sometimes.
TRY IIIIIIITTTTTTT.
