Hello dear Watchers and other lovely deviants.

Help a fellow deviant and get comments and a chance to win points and other prizes!

I’m currently working on my Master’s thesis at the Royal School of Library and Information Science. My thesis is about the correlation between the types of keywords added to deviations and the types of search terms used when searching on deviantART. But, as you might have noticed, keywords cannot be seen by anyone but the owner of a deviation (not yet anyway, although dA is working on it). This is why I'm asking for your help.

What I need you to do:

  • Comment on this journal with a link to one of your deviations (anything except literature and animation).
  • Include in that comment the exact line of keywords that you've attached to the deviation (see green bullet).
  • Receive my eternal gratitude, a comment and a ticket in the raffle (see below).

    • How-To: On the deviation page, you can press Edit on the right side. Once on the Edit page you should see your keywords below the description. Copy your entire string of keywords as it is and paste it into a comment on this journal along with a link to the deviation.


    The results of my Master’s thesis will be used as the basis for a journal article in English that will hopefully be published. In other words, your effort can help advance the knowledge about image searching and tagging.

    Thank you for wanting to help. The part I actually need is the keywords (which you added when you uploaded the deviation and which are not visible on the deviation page). The keywords from just one deviation would be a great help (as long as I know which deviation they belong to).

    To find the keywords:
