The only thing I notice though is the lack of black in his hair, so he looks a bit like Knuckles. Other than that this is really good.

Well, your drawings just made me think of some concept art I saw for a Pixar movie (maybe Monsters inc.) and I was joking about the whole "Sonic movie by Pixar" thing.
